On the 29 of May, we celebrate the International Day of UN Peacekeepers. Our posts this week will be dedicated to paying tribute to our uniformed and civilian personnel.
It will be an opportunity to share with you our role in supporting #peace in Africa.

Day 3
PEOPLE
The RSCE provides administrative, technical, and logistic services to over 17,000 international civilians, national staff, and uniformed personnel responsible for supporting #UNmissions and #peace in Africa.
Day 4
PEACE
#UNpeacekeepers are those who engender positive impacts on the ground.
Thanks to their dedication and professionalism, the UN has been able to protect the lives of civilians and support the organization of elections worldwide, promoting #humanrights and #ruleoflaw.
Day 5
PROGRESS
The RSCE’s Regional Training and Conference Centre (RTCC) hosts over 200 courses, workshops, and conferences annually.
In 2018/2019, more than 3,000 personnel came to Entebbe, Uganda, before heading to #UNmissions across Africa.

POWER OF PARTNERSHIP
The RSCE plays an instrumental role in supporting #UNmissions in Africa. We ensure that #peacekeepers accomplish their mandate without worrying about their entitlements or whether their salaries are being paid on time.
“Thanks to our staff, those transactions are carried out efficiently and within the deadline”, said Nalini Contreras, Deputy Director of the RSCE, in a message this week to our personnel.
